Robert (Bob) Bosch passed away June 8, 2021, in Eureka.

Bob was born in Crescent City on October 24, 1933 and lived in Napa, but was a resident of Humboldt County for 80 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, and his three daughters; Lisa Green (Joe), Lori Bosch and Karin Bosch, and sister Beverly York (Bill). He was Grandpa (Pop) to Adam Green (Renae) and his two great-grandchildren, Joseph Green and Jaxon Green.

He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents (Charles and Willia) and his sister Margaret Kring.

After serving in the Army, Bob worked at Emerson’s Mill as a pond monkey, and then at Simpson’s Mill. He moved on to become a mail carrier for the US Postal Service, and remembered every person he ever delivered mail to during his career. He loved knot tying and could always be found with a string or two in his pocket. He enjoyed working in his wood shop and spent many hours there with Karin in the past few years. He loved lighthouses and was able to visit many of them from the East Coast to the West Coast, spending a lot of time at the Point Arena Lighthouse Keepers housing.

He was a romantic at heart, as evident in the many things he did for Sue during the 65 years they were together They were married on March 28, 1958. We remember the love knots he did for her along with a poem, the butterfly releases he arranged, and just the daily endearments everyone witnessed. He was much more than just a father-in-law to Joe, he was Dad.

He will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched, most of all the family he loved and adored. “Beyond the sadness of saying goodbye is the peace of knowing you’re connected in love”

There will be no services, please remember Bob as you knew and loved him.
