Steven Alan Scilacci cashed in his ticket to heaven on May 11, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born in Fortuna and raised in Ferndale on the family dairy.

Steve owned and operated Scilacci Dairy for his whole life. Steve was also a big fan of the Giants baseball team from San Francico.

Anyone who knew Steve knows he was the very best kind of man. He cherished his marvelous wife and business partner Machelle of 40 years. His son and best friend Bryan, his loving wife Jen and their three incredible children Austin, Grace, and Olivia, he left in charge of the family dairy knowing they would give it their all. Katie, forever “daddy’s girl,” holds a special place in his heart along with her husband Jovian and their three spectacular children Ali, Brody, and Jovian Jr. He treasured his two wonderful sisters Sandra Frye and Sharon Lutz along with their children Stacey Leaton, husband Chris and Kyle Lutz. He had an especially close friendship with his brother and sister in-law Mark and Kelli Wight, and their children Krissi Shutzle, husband Cody and Mathew Wight and Hunter Wight. He loved and adored his mother in-law Shirley Wight.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Clara, his nephew Steven Frye, and his father in-law Wally Wight. All family and friends are invited to a barbecue to celebrate Steve’s life at “The Barn by Fernbridge,” Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 11 a.m.
