It has been reported that Ms. Bergel recently declaired bankruptcy. Can you explain if this was the result of your mistakes or some reason beyond your control, ie: a client that stiffed you on a large bill or something similar. Also, are you taking any action to pay back the local businesses all your past ballances or are they absorbing your debts? Finally, why have you not presented your side of this issue to the voters before it was made public by the press? Thank you for your responses.

Thank you for your question.  Yes, my husband and I declared a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2012 after he had a near fatal work related accident.  We are currently paying back our creditors.
