Chemical, Petroleum, Sewage Incident in Unincorporated County Area Humboldt

A new hazardous materials incident involving chemical has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near a road in Unincorporated county area Humboldt at around 9 a.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

"Potential Release"

Caller stated that they have a potential release of Anti Freeze, Oil, and Gray/Black water waste due to a motor home that went off the road and ended up upside down in a ravine that connects to Conklin Creek. No material has been released at this time and the removal of the vehicle is scheduled for tomorrow.

This was the first hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Unincorporated county area Humboldt area this year and the second chemical spill in the county overall.
