Petroleum Incident in Unincorporated County Area Humboldt

A new hazardous materials incident involving petroleum has been reported to the California Office of Emergency Services.

According to a report published by the office, the incident took place at or near waterways in Unincorporated county area Humboldt at around 10:44 a.m. today.

Here’s the description of the incident that was recorded by the Office of Emergency Services:

PER NRC REPORT " CALLER IS REPORTING AN UNKNOWN SHEEN ON HUMBOLDT BAY. CALLER STATED THE SHEEN IS NEAR THE EASTERN SPAN OF THE SAMOA BRIDGE.

This was the fifth hazardous materials incident recorded by the Office of Emergency Services in the Unincorporated county area Humboldt area this year and the 50th petroleum spill in the county overall.
