On April 16th the Mateel Community Center is very excited to host one of the most prolific and respected folk/rock artists of our time - the legendary Bruce Cockburn. His musical career spans over 40 years. He has written songs in styles ranging from folk, to jazz-influenced rock, to flat out rock and roll and just as his musical style has varied through the years, his song lyrics have dealt with a broad range of topics that reveal his unyielding passion for human rights and political issues that few musicians embrace with as much fervor and artistic aplomb. If you’re not familiar with Bruce’s music yet, now’s you’re chance to discover it up close and personal. Food, beer, wine, and refreshments will be available for purchase!
