Celebrating Dylan Wade Ruiz

On Thursday, Oct. 17, LoCO learned that beloved community member Dylan Ruiz had tragically passed away in a car accident on Highway 299. Today it was announced that a memorial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Arcata Community Center. Information about the event below comes from the associated Facebook page:

Join us for a celebration of life in honor of Dylan Wade Ruiz, loving son, grandson, brother, partner, friend and precious gift to our community. Bring your memories, photos and food to share. 

At 7:30 p.m. return to support Cirque Disco Leil, a fundraiser for the Ridge Trail (21 and older). The entertainment will be dedicated to Dylan and a bench in memory of Dylan will be placed on the trail.
