This is Spinal Tap (1984)

Eureka Theater

Before BEST IN SHOW, before A MIGHTY WIND and WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, there was the greatest “mockumentary” of them all—the gold standard against which all others are measured, and are found wanting.

For sheer quotability, it rivals MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, OFFICE SPACE, GHOSTBUSTERS, CASABLANCA and HAMLET.

Professional musicians simultaneously love it, and fear it—Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler once said “It hits too close too home.”

Follow documentarian Marty Di Bergi (Rob Reiner) as he chronicles the long-awaited(?) American tour of middle-aged British rockers Spın̈al Tap, headed by David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), who perform such powerful rock anthems as “Sex Farm” and “Big Bottom,” among many others.

Still not convinced? Check out its rating on IMDB—8.0…out of 11.

Doors open at 7:00, showtime at 7:30. Admission $5.00.
