Elk Country RV Resort and Campground’s Fourth of July Extravaganza will start bright and early Thursday with games kicking off at 9 a.m., including horseshoes, washer toss, duck derby and balloon toss. A parade starts at noon, as does the barbecue which runs until 9 p.m.

From 3 to 8 p.m. the Swingin’ Country Band will play country-western music, followed by a rock ‘n’ roll band. If all that isn’t enough, there’s also a talent contest and awards, plus fireworks at dark.
