A big man with a Big sound, Gregory Porter has quickly become of of jazz music’s most important male vocalists. A soul-drenched singer, he is often at his best delivering emotionally charged original songs. Largely unknown before his sensational 2010 debut CD, Porter followed up by taking home the Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Jazz Vocal Album with his latest release. In concert, Porter brings a seasoned backing band as a showcase for his supple phrasing, sophisticated and touch but tender delivery.
