Sean Donahoe - Forum Host
Sean lives in Oakland, and brings his background in political consulting and issue advocacy to help California’s cannabis industry navigate state and local politics.

After co-founding a statewide cannabis industry trade association he moved on to form the consulting firm Operative Campaigns and now advises a variety of clients on industry strategy and business development throughout California and beyond.

Dale Gieringer - Guest Speaker
Dale Gieringer has been the state director of California NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) since 1987. In this capacity he has spoken with thousands of medical marijuana users and is the author of “Marijuana Medical Handbook.”

Dale is a member of the national NORML board of directors, director of the Drug Policy Forum of California (DPFCA), and treasurer of the California Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform (CCPR). He is a commissioner on the city of Oakland’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
~ Dale has published research on the economic benefits of legalization, medical marijuana usage, the history of marijuana and drug prohibition, potency testing, marijuana and driving safety, and drug urinalysis.
~ Dale sponsored path-breaking R&D on vaporizers as a smoke-free delivery system for cannabis.
~ Dale has testified before the legislature, local governments, and courts on issues related to marijuana.
~ Dale was one of the original co-authors of California’s medical marijuana initiative, Prop. 215, the proponent of Oakland’s Measure Z cannabis initiative in 2004. a sponsor of California’s pathbreaking legalization bill, AB 390, and a consultant on numerous other cannabis reform campaigns.
~ Dale is on the board of directors of the Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform to legalize cannabis in California in November 2016.

Hezekiah D. Allen - Guest Speaker
Hezekiah n was born at home and raised off the grid in Humboldt County. He never finished his degree, but he did study politics and government, including studying abroad in Jordan, India, and China.

With more than a decade of success in the cannabis industry he has trimmed, sold, driven, and grown a lot of cannabis.

Hezekiah has worked in watershed restoration. He has worked with local government and natural resource agencies.

In 2014 he focused on cannabis policy full time. Today he lives in West Sacramento and travels the state in his work as the Executive Director of the California Growers Association.

Swami Chaitanya - Guest Speaker
Swami Chaitanya grew his first plants on a south facing slope of Telegraph Hill, in the heart of San Francisco, in the late1970’s.

It wasn’t until many years later, after sampling cannabis products across the globe, that he moved to Mendocino County to hone the fine art of cultivating sun grown cannabis organically.

Swami has been a Judge in The Emerald Cup since it began in 2004 and is also a founding member of the Mendocino Cannabis Policy Council.
