She will present motivating math ideas at the annual California Math Council Far North (CMCFN) conference on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 beginning at 8:30 am. This year’s math and STEAM conference is a cooperative effort between the CMCFN, the Humboldt County Office of Education, Humboldt State University and local grant agencies. This annual conference offers high-quality professional development to all math teachers in Humboldt and its contiguous counties for a reasonable cost, $35 for the morning (breakfast included) or $50 for a full day (breakfast and lunch included). With approximately 18 breakout sessions presented by local math teachers from which to choose, attendees will take several new ideas back to their classrooms on Monday morning.
