NPA Elegant French Dinner and Dance
Dear Community Member,
Northcoast Preparatory and Performing Arts Academy (NPA), Arcata’s acclaimed public charter high school, has been raising the bar for excellence in education in Humboldt County for 15 years. We focus on a rigorous academic and artistic program, civic engagement, and global awareness. Recognized by independent organizations as one of the top high schools in the nation, every NPA graduate pursues the full course of study for the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma. NPA will open a middle school this fall, and is planning a new high school campus.
You are invited to learn more about the NPA community at our Elegant French Dinner and Dance, a festive evening featuring a gourmet dinner and a well-trained cadre of student waiters, cooks and performers. This event is a benefit for our international travel scholarship fund, which helps students travel abroad on school service and performing arts trips.
Please join us on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Bayside Grange, 2270 Jacoby Creek Road, Bayside. The evening begins at 5:30 with hors d’oeuvres, a no-host wine bar, and a silent auction. Guests are seated at 6:30 for a gourmet dinner, followed by a dessert buffet and dancing to the big-band sound of Eureka Brass.

Plated Appetizer: Trio of Toppings with Beignets Tapenade of Marinated Olives, Citrus Mousse, Herbed Cheese,
Selected Entrees of:
Chicken Chasseur: Chicken pieces braised in rich tomato based sauce, with mushrooms, shallots, smoked herbs, grapes,wine and butter

Mushroom Pievioli: Savory Pastries filled with Mushrooms sautéed in Herbs and White Wine Topped with Walnut Brown Butter Sauce and Creamed Mushroom Fricassee

Baked Salmon: Accented by an Aioli of Leeks, Carrots, Celery, and Lemon Topped with a toasted Buttery Seafood sauce
All Entrees served with Gruyere Cheese & Herb Potato Gratin
