Parent Voices Humboldt

Jefferson Community Center

Parent Voices Humboldt (PVH) will meet Saturday May 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Jefferson Community Center. As part of the local Stand for Children 2014 events, PVH is hosting a craft open house and invites parents and children to join in the fun and to advocate for affordable quality child care. 2014’s theme is ‘Let a thousand flowers bloom’. Flowers represent state budget revenues needed to support quality child care. Rain makes flowers bloom, so let it rain funding and make child care affordable throughout California to give our kids a chance to grow strong roots and really blossom! The paper flowers will be given to local representatives as part of the statewide campaign that asks California’s elected leaders to invest in child care. Parent Voices Humboldt is a parent-run, parent-led grassroots organization striving to make quality child care accessible and affordable to all families. Free on-site child care, refreshments, and Spanish translation are provided. Like Parent-Voices-Humboldt on Facebook.
