Comic actress and writer Sherry Glaser returns to the Arcata Playhouse with a new one-woman show, “Taking the High Road”- Comic Confessions from Behind the Cannabis Curtain. Actress Sherry Glaser will be stopping in Arcata on her way to New York with her newest creation. The star and author of such one woman shows as OH MY GODDESS! and FAMILY SECRETS (The longest running one woman show in Off-Broadway history) presents her latest work, TAKING THE HIGH ROAD: Comic Confessions from Behind the Cannabis Curtain. With a variety of comic characters and hilarious writing Glaser weaves a masterful tale. For the last four years she has been the executive director a medical marijuana dispensary in the village of Mendocino on the Northern California Coast. Sherry takes the stage with new material derived from her life as a “pot wife” living behind the Cannabis Curtain. Each character has a definite yet surprising relationship to marijuana, giving the show a wide range of appeal from the Hip crowd, to patients facing life threatening diseases and anyone struggling with mental health in a world gone mad.
