Join Savage Henry for the newest installment of the Thrusty Thursday Comedy Showcase, this time, with headliner Kollin Holtz, featuring George Kane and Jeff Anaya! Joining them, we have local comics, John Mcclurg and Kim Hodges! Hosted by Joe Deschaine. Six Rivers Brewery. Thursday, January 30th, 8pm. $5 Kollin Holtz, who is from San Francisco, is part of Sylvan Productions, which was voted “Best Comedy Troupe” of 2013, by SF Weekly. As part of Sylvan Productions, Kollin Holtz has had a hand in revitalizing the comedy scene in San Francisco. Sylvan has re-opened the old Holy City Zoo under it’s current name “Dirty Trix,” runs a weekly show at The Stork Club in Oakland, and has booked such national headliners as Hannibal Buress, Moshe Kasher, Kyle Kinane and more. Producer and host of “Closet Talk With Kollin Holtz,” a podcast that takes place INSIDE the closet Kollin sleeps in for $300 a month in San Francisco, CA. Organizing and running two different comedy rooms, George has been an integral part the excitement that unfolds on the stages of Santa Cruz. He surprised us last month, when he showed up to the Eureka Inn’s open mic, hosted by Nando Molina. We were glad to bring him back up for a show! Jeff Anaya, another San Francisco based comic and veteran of the S.H.I.T.s & Giggles Comedy Festival, is no stranger to Humboldt County! Jeff Anaya doesn’t so much perform his comedy as live it. Standing at 6 foot, Jeff has performed at every major venue in the bay area- including Cobb’s, The Punchline, and the Purple Onion. Check him out to hear his stories of romantic awkwardness and endearing naivete, and delve into a big, bright, beautiful world of silly stupidity.
