Trash Mash-up

Dell’Arte

Free workshops in the Big Hammer Tent culminating in a visual and musical spectacle, “Mash-Up Bash Pageant” on Sunday. Using disposable materials, collected before they enter the waste stream, participants construct “Maskostumes” which are original pageant masks and costumes inspired by traditions from around the world. Trash Mash-Up builds creative community and raises environmental awareness using public art project traditions to connect to our collective future.

Dell’Arte alumni and former Company members, The McCracken Sisters, return to Blue Lake for the Mad River Festival.  Bridget and Jessie McCracken are the founders of Trash Mash-Up (TMU) who’s Mad River Festival workshops will culminate by mashing it up at Blue Lake’s Annual Annie and Mary Day.  Trash Mash-Up and Dell’Arte invites the public to join their contingent in the Annie and Mary Day Parade on July 13.  Attend a TMU workshop at Dell’Arte’s new tent July 9—12 and create your our costume to wear in the parade. The workshops and parade are free and the public is encouraged to attend.
