Warm and Fuzzy Clothing Drive
Local radio station KSLG is hoping you’ll find it in your heart — and closet — to donate some warm clothes you no longer need during their annual Warm And Fuzzy event, a benefit for Betty Chinn and her efforts to help the homeless.
They’ll be broadcasting and taking donations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 8) at the North Coast Co-op in Eureka located at Fourth and B.
Chinn’s mission to care for those less fortunate will be greatly benefited during these cold winter months by donations of new or gently worn jackets, blankets, sleeping bags, sweaters, sweatshirts, thermals, clean socks and underwear, hats, jeans and pants.
“We’re in need of items that are clean and warm,” Chinn said. “We’re looking for pretty much anything except newborn baby stuff.”
The alternative and indie music station — also known as K-Slug — would be thankful for donations of all sizes, whether it’s just one item or entire bags of stuff. Plus, the opportunity to earn some good karma can’t hurt.
