Woofstock and Annual Mutt Strut

We’ll kick off the day with our Annual Mutt Strut, a dog parade though old town Eureka. You can raise money ahead of time by yourself or with a team. Lots of animals dress up for the Strut, but it is by no means a requirement. Registration for the Mutt Strut starts at 10 am and the Dog Parade kicks off at 11 am. Minimum pledge to participate is $25 (which includes a free entry into Woofstock). At Woofstock there will be live tunes all day with Silver Hammer, Kindred Spirits and Rooster McClintock! You and your pooch can play dog games including Weenie Bobbing, Bobbing for Baubles, Treasure Quest and new this year, the Pirate’s Lagoon. At 2pm, we’ll start our dog contest with our celebrity judges Dave Silverbrand, Rutabaga Queen Taylor “Lady Luck” Depew and Eureka Mayor Frank Jager. Contests include the Best Costume, Best Trick, Dog Owner Look Alike, Best Tailwag and Best Kiss. Don’t forget the your 2-legged kids too! There will be face painting and a petting zoo. There will also be a vendor village, food court, margaritas, bloody marys and beer from Six Rivers Brewery. It’s a Doggone Great Day to celebrate your best furry friend and support the animals at the Sequoia Humane Society awaiting their forever homes.
