Much of Hoopa Without Electricity Today After Early Morning Power Pole Crash

About 230 Hoopa residents will be without electricity until about 9 p.m., according to current PG&E estimates, after a Ford F-150 struck a power pole off Pine Creek Road just before 4 a.m.

The Lost Coast Outpost’s CHP dispatch-tracker shows that there were major injuries involved in the collision, and officers on the scene initially had a difficult time getting hold of ambulance services. PG&E initially had expected the power to be back up more quickly, but their own dispatch center has now pushed its full restoral time back to tonight.
