Weed Feed: CDFW to Hold Free Cannabis Permitting Workshops in Fortuna, Redway

Don’t grow a weedhenge.
With the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office busting up unpermitted marijuana grows on a weekly basis this summer, government entities are extending free services to growers to help bring their weed farms into compliance.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the State Water Resources Control Board will hold multiple cannabis permitting workshops this week in Humboldt County.
The first workshop will be held on Wednesday at the River Lodge Conference Center in Fortuna from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. An additional workshop will be held on Thursday during the same hours at the Mateel Community Center in Redway.
Representatives from the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Calfire and county permitting and planning departments will also be at the event to help answer questions.
