On 03-21-2012, approximately 3:00 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office Community Response Unit (C.R.U.) assisted by the Eureka Police Problem Oriented Policing (P.O.P.) Team conducted probation search at a residence in the 3700 block of Fern Street, Eureka. The officers went to the residence after receiving reports of possible drug sales occurring at that location. When officers arrived they located Kevin Andrew Call, 28 years of Eureka and Courtney Lyn Battaglieri, 23 years at the home. A search was conducted and approximately one half ounce of tar heroin, package materials, needles, and scales were located in the residence. Battaglieri and Call were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on a charge possession for sale of a controlled substance. Call was also booked on a charge of violation of probation. Call was on formal probation for possession for sales of a controlled substance. Their bail is set at $50,000.00.
