Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 03-28-2012, approximately 10:30 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office was dispatched to the 1900 Block of Peninsula Drive, Manila regarding an armed robbery which just occurred. The citizen reporting the crime told the dispatcher the victim had come to his residence seeking assistance, stating he had just been robbed at gunpoint and to call the Sheriff’s Office. 

When deputies arrived they met with the 27 year old male victim who resides in Eureka. He told the deputies he had been speaking on the phone when he was in Arcata with a female friend named “Michelle”, unknown last name, who is about 30 years old who lived with him briefly in the past. He did not know her last name. He agreed to meet up with Michelle in Manila after she told him she needed to meet with him to pick up some of her property. They decided to meet near the Manila Park. He drove to the intersection of Peninsula Drive and Victor Blvd, Manila and parked at approximately 10:00 p.m. Michelle arrived in a green pickup truck with a canopy, being driven by another female only known as “ Lisa “, approximately 30 years old. As they were exchanging her property, two white male adults approached, one of the suspects had a black semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at his head.

The suspect told him to get on the ground, which he did. He then told him to empty his pockets. The suspects stole his wallet and contents, his Apple Iphone, and grabbed his car keys which they threw into the bushes. The suspects ordered him to stay on the ground for five minutes while they fled on foot.

When the victim finally got up, Michelle and Lisa were gone, along with the suspects.

Deputies are attempting to locate Michelle and Lisa with the victim’s assistance. Their involvement is unknown at this time.

The suspects are described as:

1. Approximately 20 years old, White male, 5’9” tall, wearing a black “Hoodie” over his head, possible beard stubble on his face, armed with a semi automatic black handgun

2. Approximately 20 years old, White male, approximately 5’ 9 “ tall
