Sgt. Doug Tupen of the California Highway Patrol tells the Lost Coast Outpost that an arrest has been made in yesterday’s suspicious killing in Hoopa. We’re awaiting a call-back from the Sheriff’s Office for more information.
Tupen would not say whether or not the Hoopa case is linked to yesterday morning’s tragedy near Bayside, in which one woman was killed and two severely injured when a car struck them while jogging on Myrtle Avenue at 5:45 a.m.
The car in that struck the women was quickly found in Eureka; it was registered to a Hoopa address. A CHP officer discovered the victim in the suspicious killing at a Hoopa address a few hours later.
