The US National Weather Service predicts record to near record temperatures in the interior valleys of northwestern California today. (See below map put out by the Weather Service for temperatures in the area.) Yesterday, a record high of 106 degrees was set in Ukiah for June 7th. The previous record for that date was 101 degrees.

Tomorrow, they predict isolated thunderstorms in the higher elevations with decreasing temperatures.
