Oh my. Wasn’t some local entrepreneur going to print up some PDX spirit-co-opting “Keep Eureka Weird” stickers at some point? I swear I heard that. Yeah, those might be superflous at this point. Because Space Biscuit.
In the latest Humboldt Live Sessions clip, the self proclaimed “extraterrestrial punk” trio invades Eureka’s Discovery Museum for a performance of their song “Hip Hopera” — a let’s-just-safely-go-with-“experimental” synth-laden hip hop/operatic ditty about Godzilla. Why the Discovery Museum? Um. Well, it’s always educational to expose kids to other cultures and languages and you’ll note that “Hip Hopera” features rarely heard Godzilla speak. See? Discovery!
If this taste of Space Biscuit leaves you hungry for seconds, the group will do the thing that they do to the Bar-Fly Pub and Grub on Saturday, May 18. Prepare thyself.
