News Channel 3 is reporting that 28-year-old Bodhi Tree, the suspect in this weekend’s double homicide, has pleaded not guilty to the crimes he’s accused of in Humboldt County Superior Court. Tree was taken into custody Saturday hours after 27-year-old Alan “Sunshine” Marcet and 18-year-old Christina Schwarz were found dead in a residence located at 2457 Eye Street in Arcata.
“I didn’t commit no murder,” Tree said in court Wednesday. “Someone tried to murder me … broken ribs and two black eyes. Someone tried to kill me.”
