Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

0n 11-5-2013, approximately 9:15 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office was notified by Blue Lake Casino Security that they had detained a man who was suspected of selling drugs from a Blue Lake Casino Hotel Room.

When deputies arrived they met with Blue Lake Rancheria Casino Security and the man they detained. The man was identified as Jeremy John Cringle, 35 years old from McKinleyville. The Casino Security Supervisor told the investigating deputy they had received complaints from other hotel guests regarding numerous people entering and exiting a hotel room during the night.  Security staff contacted Cringle who had rented the room and explained that he was disturbing other guests.  When they spoke with Cringle in his room, they saw what appeared to be methamphetamine in plain view. They detained Cringle and called the Sheriff’s Office.

The investigating deputy ran a record check on Cringle and discovered he was on formal supervised probation for possession for sale of illicit drugs. He also had two warrants for his arrest, a felony warrant for violation of probation and a misdemeanor warrant for vandalism. The deputy searched Cringles room and located approximately 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine,

26 ounces of marijuana, ½ ounce of hash, methadone and hydrocodone pills. Cringle was arrested for violation of probation, possession for sale of a controlled substance and possession of illicit drugs. Cringle is being held without bail.
