From Humboldt State University:
On Nov. 2, Humboldt State University Police partnered with agents from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and conducted a “minor decoy” sting operation within the city of Arcata. A minor with valid state identification attempted to purchase alcohol at multiple local businesses.
Four businesses sold alcohol to the nineteen-year-old. These businesses were issued citations and will receive further administrative actions from ABC.
The businesses that unlawfully sold alcohol were: Arcata Liquors, Chevron (Valley West Blvd), Gas 4 Less (Spear Ave & Alliance Blvd) and Libation. ABC is expected to continue operations in the area partnered with local law enforcement in the near future.
