Eureka Police Department press release:

On 09/15/13 around 1:11 AM the Eureka Police Department received reports of a man-down in a parking lot on the 1100 block of 5^th Street. 

Responding Officers located a single apparently injured male subject at the described location and summoned medical aid. The male was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

The nature of the male’s injuries will not be fully known until an autopsy is performed, but it appears unlikely the death was the result of an accident.

Suspect is described as male Hispanic or White , 20-30 years, 5‘5” to 5‘10”.
