From the Eureka Police Department:

On 08/29/14 at about 7:11 a.m., dispatchers received a call from a female reporting that she found a male tampering with her vehicle near the 2600 block of K Street and that her boyfriend was now chasing the male on foot. The boyfriend phoned dispatch and reported he lost the male suspect near Carson and I Streets.

Officers responded to the area and located the male suspect, later identified as Chad Eion Fraker (29) of Eureka, near the intersection of I and Buhne Streets. Fraker fled on foot over several fences and yards but was ultimately detained by officers near the 2400 block of H Street.

Fraker was found to have an arrest warrant from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department for possession of stolen property. Fraker was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Humboldt County Jail. The owner of the vehicle on K Street did not wish to pursue any further charges.
