Local hashtagger and Eureka Police Chief Andy Mills sent out the above tweet this morning which prompted LoCO to reach out to the Eureka Police Department for more info. EPD’s Brittany Powell sent us the following brief summation of the alluded to case:
On 12/04/14 at about 1:18 p.m. Detectives from EPD Problem Oriented Policing served a probation search at a residence on the 100 block of Boyle. Detectives located signs of drug activity and a male child, possibly 6 months to a year old, unattended upstairs. Detectives have received unconfirmed reports that two people fled from the residence as detectives arrived. CWS responded and took custody of the child.
This is an ongoing investigation and charges will be sought once identities are confirmed.
