UPDATE, SATURDAY, 5:46 p.m.: Homicide in Alderpoint; Sheriff’s Office, Department of Justice Hunting for Suspect

UPDATE 12:10 p.m.: Victim transported to helicopter which will take him to an out of the area hospital.

Original post: At 10:51 p.m., the report of a man shot in the chest and in critical condition has sent law enforcement, ambulance and fire scrambling to the Rancho Sequoia Drive area of Alderpoint. 

Scanner traffic indicates that while the reporting party believes the suspect left on a motorcycle, the reporting party believes it possible that the suspect could still be in the bushes nearby. 

Medical has been told that staging is required.
