Take this one seriously, holiday travelers: The National Weather Service is saying between two and six inches of snow are expected to accumulate above 2,000 feet tomorrow night and Christmas Eve, affecting Highways 3, 36, 199 and 299. If you’re traveling that way, now’s a good time to think about busting out the chains or perhaps to reconsider altogether.
What’s more, the NWS is saying that some amount of snow could stick to the blacktop as low as 1,500 in elevation that night. Prepare to drive slowly and carefully and expect plenty of crazy on the roads.
On the other hand: Looks like the snowiest Humboldt Christmas in recent memory, right?
