Elsewhere, multiple readers alert us that the canopy that encases the new, ambitious Fortuna Ice Rink did not make it through the night. Online info we could find indicates that the rink was set to open tomorrow.

UPDATE: This morning, the Outpost spoke with Dianna Rios with the Fortuna Business Improvement District who told us they were working diligently to reinforce the structure and that the ice rink would still open tomorrow as scheduled.

“That’s what we’re shooting for,” Rios said. “If not we will let you know.”
