Three 27-inch iMacs worth thousands of dollars were stolen from the KRFH studio sometime during the holiday weekend.

HSU Lecturer Cliff Berkowitz said this is the second burglary in two weeks. Two CD players and a live-mixing board were also lifted from the student-run radio station’s DJ booth last week.

Because a key code is required to enter the premises, those close to the situation suspect that it was an inside job.

“The fact that equipment was taken from the booth first, does make it look like the whole thing is an inside job,” Berkowitz said. “However since there is a code rather than key cards, the code could have been leaked to anyone.”

The exact date and time of the crimes is unknown. However, the stolen computers stopped communicating with the University server on Friday.

A police report was filed earlier today and Sgt. John Packer of the campus police department said the matter is a felony investigation.
