At about 10:45 p.m. yesterday, someone blasted two shotgun holes into the side of an apartment building on the 1500 block of Second Street, Eureka.

No one was injured, but the shots were aimed into the bedroom and living room of one of the building’s apartments, according to scanner audio from the time.

Capt. Steve Watson of the Eureka Police Department told the Outpost that the incident — which he called a “drive-by shooting” — is being actively investigated right now, and as such the department could not provide many more details at this time. No arrests have been made in the case.
