Heavy showers and 5 to 9 inches of snow are forecast to dump on Humboldt County between tomorrow afternoon and Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service of Eureka reports on Facebook that snowfall should only impact elevations above 1,500 feet.

“Vigorous shower development is forecast to occur Friday afternoon through Saturday morning,” the Facebook post reads. “These showers combined with a cold air mass will result in locally heavy snow (5 to 9 inches) for elevations above 1500 feet in Del Norte and Humboldt Counties.”
