Car Overturns on 101 Through McKinleyville After Hailstorm Deposits ‘Several Inches’ on the Roadway
101 near McKinleyville, moments ago. Reader-submitted photo.
Arcata Fire is at the scene of a vehicle that reportedly overturned on Highway 101 just south of School Road right after a hailstorm flew through the area.
Scanner traffic indicates that the car — a red Prius — is now back on its wheels. The driver did not require extrication. CHP officers on scene are asking Caltrans to send a plow to clear the snow hail.
