The drama of the sea at sunset is captured in this photograph taken by Hailey Del Grande near Klamath. A blaze of sunlight burns in the background while rocks stand stolidly amidst the swaying waves.

Del Grande was a student at St. Bernard’s in 2011 when she took this photo on her iPhone during a family ski trip to Ashland.  Now she attends CR. She and her family are lifetime residents of Humboldt County.

Her proud father who sent the photo in says, “I think it just goes to show that we have a beautiful area and can get great pictures anywhere anytime.”
