The Eureka Garden Tour
7. The Gardens of Randi and Ray Swedenburg
Our next stop was to Randi and Ray Swedenburg’s wetland garden on B Street, predominantly planted with California native plants. The garden is set up with a rainwater catchment system that feeds into the back yard wetland. This, by far, was the most fragrant of all of the gardens, filling the air with the intoxicating scents of multi-colored sweet peas.
This garden also had many plants that had a subtle presence — if you weren’t paying attention, you could easily miss them. I loved the pagoda succulent that quietly caught my eye!
