Originally from the moss covered hills surrounding Seattle, Brian now resides in Nevada City, California where he has established himself as one of the leaders in the underground NorCal music scene both as a DJ & event producer. The summer of 2015 saw Brian DJing at diverse festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle, Enchanted Forest Gathering, Once Upon a Festival, California World Fest, & Cascadia; he is also toured NorCal with Argentinian group, Lulacruza. Brian’s refined sound ranges from midtempo, organic world beats filled with Latin rhythms & African chants to the heartbeat of deep, dubby, world house. Brian, along with longtime friend & ally Isis Indriya, coproduces HeartBass, a monthly deep house party in Nevada City, CA. HeartBass, steeped in loving intention, thick vibes, and an amazing community of dancers, is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most high-vibed underground dance parties on the West Coast. The winter of 2016 sees HeartBass Presents expanding to host bass & world music events, and Brian regularly playing gigs from Envision in Costa Rica to the Dead & Co afterparties in SF. When not DJing & producing events, Brian is an award-winning teacher, currently teaching 7th & 8th grade World Studies & Language Arts at the distinguished Nevada City School of the Arts.
