Mario Carboni, a self-described Honky Tonk Rebel, is nothing less than a piano virtuoso. He has worked extensively with Red Simpson, recording and performing live. Yes, THE Red Simpson, country music hall of famer and songwriter extraordinaire. Unfortunately for us in the country music scene, Red passed away in January of this year. Last month, Mario travelled to Austin, TX with David Simpson, Red’s son, to receive a “Founder of the Sound” award at the Ameripolitan Awards. It’s good to know people like Mario love what they do and are ready to keep those traditions alive. Please join us for what will be a really special performance, and many thanks to Jimmy Howard for helping make this happen.
