UPDATE: Lt. Knight tells the Outpost‘s Kym Kemp that, due to the department’s limited resources, officers have been triaging — prioritizing areas that have been getting out of hand, with, say, homicides, dogs being slaughtered and hung from a tree, and trespass grows damaging the environment.

We got calls from some readers this morning alerting us that “a full-on convoy” of Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office vehicles was heading out State Route 36. 

Sure enough, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Steve Knight confirmed moments ago: “We’re back out there” in the Burr Valley area.

And, yes, it’s marijuana related. Beyond that we’ll have to wait for a press release — unless you, reader, can tell us more below.
