Lowdown: Uh Oh

Well, this should be interesting.

For those adventurous to hit the town on a Monday’s eve, one show really leaps off the Lowdown’s pixels at us. We’re not going too far out on a limb here by suggesting The Siren’s Song Tavern is hosting two very different bands tonight. We’re just gonna let the way these bands describe themselves on their Facebook pages tell this tale:

First, SF folk quartet Owl Paws (video above): “… their sound combines acoustic elements of folk music (acoustic guitar and upright bass) with dreamy electric guitar, driving drums, memorable vocals and progressive songwriting.”

Then, no strangers to the Lowdown, Drifter Killer (video below): “… a volatile mixture of high energy rock n’ roll … injected with doses of psychedelic trips gone wrong, Death Valley at dawn, drag races at night, and drug deals gone right …”

Diversity! Hopefully both bands jam together on “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding” to close the night.
