Campaign Statement

Living in Humboldt County for most of my life, I’ve had the privilege of attending both College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University. Over the past twenty-two years, I’ve established several businesses in our community, employed hundreds of people and helped promote our unique region as part of our marketing strategy in every endeavor. From Humboldt Nutrients to Heart of the Emerald, my experience as a business owner and operator has helped me learn the importance of diplomacy and delegating. I’m a father of three beautiful children who have all attended schools in Arcata, and our oldest is now in college. The future of the community that our children will inherit is at the top of the list of reasons for seeking public office. Division and polarization between both political parties has inspired me to run as an independent. I truly believe that governing from the middle will allow me to build the consensus needed amongst my constituency to make decisions on behalf of ALL the people. If elected, I will promote the use of diplomacy, transparency, and ethical standards in our local government. I would be honored to be the representative for Humboldt County Board of Supervisors District 3.
