Joins Retired Humboldt DA Praising McLaughlin as “Fair”

 

May `12, 2022, Eureka, Calif.— Ben McLaughlin announced that Del Norte County District Attorney Katherine Micks has endorsed his campaign for Humboldt County Superior Court Judge.

 

 

Micks stated, “I’ve known Ben McLaughlin for 17 years.  When I worked with him, Ben was a fair and committed Prosecutor.  Those are attributes I know he’ll bring with him to the Bench.“

 

 

McLaughlin has also been endorsed by retired Humboldt County District Attorney Paul Gallegos who said, “Judges are the pillar of our legal system, and our legal system can only be as good as the people that serve it.  It is essential that a judge have courage, integrity, temperance, fairness, intelligence, and a commitment hard work. It is essential that Judges have these characteristics because the wisdom that we seek from judges is found at the intersection of these qualities. Ben McLaughlin has each of these qualities.  I am pleased that he has chosen to serve our community as a Superior Court Judge. “
