Former California Legislator Tom Umberg Endorses Allan Dollison

EUREKA, CA–The Dollison for District Attorney Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of former 3-term member of the California Legislature, and former Director of the California High Speed Rail Authority, Thomas J. Umberg.

Mr. Umberg hails from Orange County and in 1990 he defeated the Republican legislator who the previous election had used uniformed security guards at polling places to discourage voting.

Mr. Umberg is also a retired Army Colonel, and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan.

In 1994 Mr. Umberg was the Democratic Candidate for Attorney General, and then went on to be the Deputy Director for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Mr. Dollison stated, “I am very honored to have a genuine California leader like Tom Umberg to back my campaign. His commitment to solving California’s drug problems and transportation problems as well as his 30-plus year career as a lawyer and former federal prosecutor is a sign that important leaders throughout this state are backing my candidacy.”
