September 29, 2022, 3:30 p.m. Arcata, Ca – Humboldt and Del Norte Counties Central Labor Council Endorses Kimberley White for Arcata City Council. “I am honored to receive the endorsement from Humboldt and Del Norte Counties Central Labor Council. Growing up with my father belonging to a labor union and his support of his union instilled in me at a young age the importance of labor unions, and still inspires me today. I am proud to share that my campaign manager is a retired district union representative of UFCW8 and was a member for 42 years. The current work I do in solidarity economy is about empowering working class people. I support the State prevailing wage and will advocate for unionized labor for housing developments in the Gateway Area Plan by directing staff to utilize a project labor agreement (PLA) to accomplish this. If elected, I will be accessible to workers, or their union representatives on work related matters.”
