Natalie Arroyo Endorsed by Array of Unions

EUREKA, Calif.— Humboldt County Supervisorial candidate Natalie Arroyo has received more endorsements from local and regional unions, including AFSCME (American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees), SEIU   Local 2015, the Cal Poly Humboldt chapter of the California Faculty Association, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5, Carpenters Local 751, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 541, and International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local 16.

 

John McEntagart from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers shared that “We appreciate your tireless commitment to supporting the working people of your district. We are proud to stand with you and we look forward to working with you to help build a better future for all working families.”

 

“I am especially honored to have the overt support of the unions representing me, the California Faculty Association, and AFSCME, who represents workers in an organization whose board I am the Chairperson for,” shared Arroyo. “These endorsements, along with the support of labor groups who advocate for our workforce in a diverse array of jobs, mean so much to me!”

 

Together these unions represent thousands of local workers in Humboldt County, from university faculty and County staff members to local tradespeople. Collectively, these groups are working to ensure that there are good-paying, safe and reliable jobs in Humboldt County.  

 

Arroyo is running for 4th District Supervisor, representing portions of Eureka, Myrtletown, and the Samoa Peninsula. The Primary Election is on June 7, and mail ballots arrive on May 9.
